Sergey Repkin, the rector of “Belarusian State University of Physical Culture” hosted the Sendai University delegation, headed by Chairman Hozawa Taiji.
During the visit university heads discussed the results of joint projects. It is worth noting, that over the years of inter-university collaboration, strong partnership relations have developed. The main emphasis was made on gymnastics and wrestling popularization.
It is worth noting, that within the framework of BSUPC and Sendai University interaction on April, 2018, at Faculty of sports combats was initiated a three-year internship of judo teacher Naoki Nakata from Sendai University. On May, 2019 teachers of the gymnastics department of BSUPC-Maria Makarova and Alina Sevets, had visited Sendai University of an exchange program from Belarusian side.
Both universities are planning to establish an active cooperation in rowing, kayaking and canoeing — Japanese colleagues pointed out the high level of Belarusian athletes in these sports disciplines.
Participants paid special attention to educational programs for the joint of bachelors and master’s degree student’s preparation.
During the visit, the Sendai University delegation will participate in international scientific-practical seminar “Modern systems of training of high-class athletes and reserve in sports gymnastics and dance sports” ,» which is held at the BSUPC from November 22-27, 2019.
