Student Olympic Forum brought together more than 300 young researchers from 8 countries

The International Student Olympic Forum was held at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee (NOC). The event brought together more than 300 young researchers and practitioners from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Latvia and China.

The Forum was launched by the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee, the Rector of Belarusian State University of Physical Culture Sergey Repkin.

He noted, that the scientific component is becoming increasingly important to decide strategic issues, which are related to the development of the Olympic movement, the popularization of Olympic values and ideals, the effective preparation of sports reserves and high-class sportsman. Participation in the Forum is a great opportunity to exchange views, present your work and take note the results of colleagues’ scientific research.

In the opening ceremony also took part: Vice-Rector on Science at BSUPC – Tatsiana Morozevich-Shiliuk, the Head of the Belarusian Olympic Academy, the Dean of the Sports and Pedagogical Faculty of Mass Sports – Irina Guslistova, Vice-Rector of  Lingnan Normal University (China) Lan Yangze.

Before the start of discussion platforms about the reality and prospects of the Olympic movement, the head of the department of combative sports and special training at BSUPC Viktor Bartash and the head of the department of sports engineering at BNTU Valery Vasiuk talked to the forum participants.

Young researchers presented their works at the Forum, which included two sections. Speakers addressed problematic issues, relying on current trends: evaluated the effectiveness of Internet marketing in motivational work with parents of young sportsman, tracked the relationship between happiness and health of students, considered social media as a means of developing the idea of Olympism, studied the possibilities of computer programs in organizing of trainings, conducted comparative analysis of the performance of sportsman.

The students of BSUPC took an active part in the Forum. Fifteen university representatives announced the results of their research.

The International Student Olympic Forum is held annually. The current Forum gathered a record number of participants.
