In BSUPC the preparation of the higher scientific qualification personnel is carried out in accordance with the Education Code of the Republic of Belarus and on the basis of the Regulations on the training of highly qualified scientific personnel in the Republic of Belarus, approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus № 561 of December 1, 2011.
Postgraduate studies – the level of the basic education, aimed on the development of postgraduate student`s personality and realization of their intellectual and creative potential, the formation of professional skills during the research, including ending with the assignment of the scientific qualification «Researcher». The training of personnel with the highest scientific qualifications at BSUPC has been carried out through postgraduate studies since 1966, and through doctoral studies since 2000.
