On June 27, the delegation from Henan Normal University visited the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture. Vice-president of one of the largest universities of the People’s Republic of China Chen Guangwen, speaking with the leadership of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, noted that he was impressed with the sports and educational infrastructure of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture.
The structure of HNU includes an institute that trains personnel for the sports industry. There are studying coaches on different kinds of sports. Today, special attention is paid in the institute to the training of football coaches. The Belarusian State University of Physical Culture has a lot of experience in this field. Highly qualified specialists work at the department of football and hockey. Within the framework of cooperation with the Association «Belarusian Football Federation» the teachers of the department conduct training sessions on the courses «UEFA Diploma», «A-Diploma of UEFA» and «Pro-Diploma of UEFA». The head of the department Viktor Iosifovich Shukan is a member of the commission, which is engaged in licensing football coaches.
It should be noted that BSUPC students receive not only theoretical knowledge. The training at the university is arranged in such a way that the student can observe the work of the trainers-practitioners and gradually be included in the process.
Within the framework of the meeting, the issue of joint training of football coaches in China was discussed. Representatives of Henan Normal University offered to implement a learning model in which 2/3 of the subjects will be taught by Chinese teachers, and 1/3 by Belarusian.
The rector of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture Sergey Borisovich Repkin supported the idea of cooperation in the training of coaches, and also introduced an alternative model of training for discussion. According to Sergei Borisovich foreign students who received a bachelor’s degree in China, it is necessary to first year learn at the preparatory department of BSUPC in parallel improving their practical skills, and then — to enter the magistracy.
It is planned that in the future joint training of students will be conducted in tennis and basketball.
