BSUPC welcomes Uzbek master’s degree students of joint faculty “Physical culture, sports and tourism”

At January 20, 2021 Uzbek students of the joint faculty of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture (BSUPC) and the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports (UzSUPCS) arrived in Minsk to perform an educational program of both universities.

An official visit of BSUPC representatives to UzSUPCS in September, 2018 resulted in establishing cooperation and actualization of future issues.

After this visit, the heads of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan and the heads of leading universities held an official meeting touching the creation of a joint faculty “Physical culture, sports and tourism”, implementation of educational programs for master’s degree with the both diplomas awarding.

The formal ceremony of signing the Arrangement of joint faculty occured in March 2019 in the hall of Olympic Glory Museum at the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In August 2019, the first student admission was initiated.

On this very day, at January 21, 2021, after successfully overcoming the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic and various difficulties, we are accepting Master’s Degree students from Uzbekistan.

The guests were welcomed by the first vice-rector, PhD of historical sciences, associate professor Sergey Shavruk.

Sergey Shavruk gave a speech and wished good study to students, focusing on university sports facilities, allowing everyone to get specialized skills in physical culture.

Dean of the joint Uzbek-Belarusian faculty “Physical culture, sports and tourism”, PhD of historical sciences, Associate Professor Gulsara Asatova also made a word of appreciation.

Alla Stefanenko, the head of the BSUPC educational and methodological department, was awarded by the gratitude of the UzSUPCS rector Maxmudjon Boltabaev for her contribution to physical culture promotion in Uzbekistan.

The meeting discussed educational, sports and leisure activities that are planned to be visited while of Uzbek students being studying in our country.

At the final part of meeting, all present expressed confidence in the successful development of joint faculty.
