BSUPC delegation took part in the event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China

On 28 October 2019, Minsk hosted a meeting between the Minister of Education of Belarus Igor Karpenko and Chinese students of Belarusian universities. Its participants were also the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Tsuy Tsimin, so as the heads of Belarusian universities.

The solemn event «Different countries — common values» was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the PRC founding.

In his speech, Igor Karpenko emphasized the significant dynamics of the Belarusian-Chinese collaboration at various levels, where education plays a significant role. It is this sphere, according to the Minister of Education, this provides intellectual, cultural and linguistic convergence between the countries and is the foundation on which political, trade, economical relations are established.Welcoming the audience, Tsuy Tsimin greeted the Ministry of Education of our country for the assistance in strengthening the partnership between the two countries. The high guest focused on the quality and prestige of the Belarusian education, this increases its demand among Chinese students. By the way, last year about 3,000 Chinese studied in Belarus, this year their number increased to 4,000.

More than 500 students from 12 Belarusian universities took part in this occasion.

The BSUPC students and Confucius Class professors delegation was headed by the first vice-rector Sergey Shavruk.

For the contribution to the development of the Belarusian-Chinese mutual cooperation in the sphere of education, the teacher of the BSUPC Confucius Class teacher Zhang Anqi was awarded with gratitude of the Ministry of Education of Belarus. Zhang Anqi successfully teaches the Chinese language for three years.

In general, 14 Sinologists from schools, gymnasiums and universities of our country were awarded with gratitude.

With the active participation of Confucius Class Directors at BSUPC Natalia Kosteeva and Song Peng, the Class members prepared the performance “Sports Wushu”, and presented the traditional tea ceremony.
