BSUPC delegation took part in the 12th World Conference of Confucius Institutes (Xi’an city, Shaanxi province). The First vice-rector of the university Sergey V. Shavruk, the director of BSUPC Confucius Class from the Belorussian side Natalia Kosteeva and the director of BSUPC Confucius Class from the Chinese side Sun Pen visited the event, organized by the Headquarters of Confucius Institutes/ Hanban and the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

The BSUPC and Lingnan Pedagogic university delegations participated in conference work
The conference gathered more than 2500 principals of Institutes and Confucius Classes as well as the universities rectors from 146 countries. PRC government leaders, Chinese and foreign senior officials, experts and scientists in field of Chinese studies took active part in the conference work.
The conference ran under the slogan « Deepening the cooperation and developing through the innovations, work together to create community with common future for the humanity» and it was dedicated to the main achievements of Confucius Institutes and further plans on development and cooperation of these cultural and educational centers. Vice-Premier of the PRC Government Council, the Chairman of the Headquarters Council of Confucius Institutes Lu Yandun, Minister of Education of the PRC Chen Baoshen, from the belorussian side the director of the Republic Institute of sinology of Belorussian State University named after Confucius, the chairman of friendship community «Belarus – China» A. A. Tozik addressed to the delegates.
According to the results of work done by BSUPC Confucius Class in 2017 the organizers invited First vice-rector S.V. Shavruk to appear as one of the main reporters on the universities rectors Forum, which ran within the framework of the conference, to share the work experience and the plans for future with the colleagues from the entire world.

Within the framework of the conference participation BSUPC and Lingnan pedagogic university delegations held negotiations with the representatives of Hanban direction regarding the transformation Confucius Class into BSUPC Confucius Institute, specific steps were determined for this target realization.

Within the framework of the visit in PRC the delegation visited Lingnan pedagogic university, where the session of Confucius class government body held, the results of the work, and the aims for the 2018 year were determined. Within the framework of the inter-university agreement the parties determined further directions of the cooperation.

The negotiations with the direction of Henan pedagogic university and Henan Sports School held within the framework of the visit concerning the Chinese citizens’ education in BSUPC on the first and second level of higher education.
The BSUPC delegation conducted negotiations with Vice-President of Henan pedagogic university Chen Guanven and also with the heads of the international education Institute. There were also meetings with the heads of international programs direction and the faculty of physical culture
