The rector of the university Sergey Repkin met the First secretary on education of the People’s Republic of China Embassy in the Republic of Belarus, Ms. Li Wenhua. The first vice-rector of the university Sergey Shavruk, the head of the International Relations Department Irina Leshkovich and the director of the Confucius Class of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture Natalia Kosteeva and Sun Peng were present at the meeting, which took place on March 13 in the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture.
Talking to the guest the rector admitted, that the university pays a great attention to the quality of Chinese students’ education, the work on upgrading the status of the Confucius Class of the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture and its transformation into the Institute, as well as joint projects implementation with Chinese universities on training specialists in field of physical culture, sport and tourism.
The main result of the meeting was the decision regarding the implementation of the World Contest on the Chinese language among the pupils of Belarus «Chinese Bridge» on the basis of the BSUPC. The event will hold in May, 2018.
It’s worth mentioning, that on March 13 the university became the ground for the annual conference of the Education Department of the People’s Republic of China Embassy in the Republic of Belarus, which gathers directors from the Chinese side of the Confucius Institutes of Belarus, the Confucius Class of Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, the Chinese language teachers and representatives of the Chinese Students Union in Belarus. The conference participants summed up the results of the last year’s work and discussed plans for the future, including the organization of the competition «Chinese Bridge»
